It is with renewed faith and support that I write
this followup regarding the Dropped Ball Articles I previously
wrote.These articles were in ref. to Dave & Gene. Dave Packer the Michigan/Ohio U.S.A. Boxing regional president and Gene Campbell the Ohio U.S.A. Boxing state president successfully got the ball bouncing again in the right direction! Both Dave and Gene were very instrumental in getting the rule regarding personal coaches being allowed to work their boxers corner in any competition back in the rulebook where it belongs. I { coach Falcone } was the person who originally got the rule changed to begin with. Most of you know what happened after that.Yes U.S.A. Boxing slickly found a way to take it out right before the 2000 Games. Thanks Dave and Gene! This is without a doubt my best Christmas present.I got the news today at our state certification clinic 12-01-2001 Actually all coaches in the U.S.A. should thank Dave and Gene when you see them.This is a very important rule for every coach who will ever reach the high levels of open competitions with their boxers.Lets all make sure U.S.A. Boxing never takes it away from us again. Now it is time for me to sincerely eat crow or my past remarks! I honestly believe that a vote for Dave and Gene would be a wise choice afterall.
