My name is Fred Wilson and I'm the chairman of the brighterside drug free strategy council ( this is an origination in the city of Cleveland form to rid the inner city of drugs) I live on East 81st and Cedar not to far from were Don King came up. I'm writing this because I need your help .I have formed a boxing club made up of neighborhood youths in effort to save them from the drugs. These young men are potential drug dealer's if we don't keep them of the street and in the gym. The problem is I can't get any help from the city of Cleveland , Mayor Jane Campbell , or council woman Patt Britt. I currently train the boys out of my basement about 8 boys are training with me some are really good and want to do this. What I need is donations so I can buy a building to put this gym in , I need lots more boxing equipment , Trunks, shoes, gloves etc. We have a recreation center in our community but they say they have no room for my group and no funds for a program like mine. My dream is to build a gym on one of the empty lots here and put my boys in pro & amateur fights, but to real with you I'll just be happy if you can donate old equipment that you can't use any more . I have 5 kids of my own and I work for the local bus company I volunteer my time with these boys and often times I do feed them my mom and my wife have been very good with helping to feed my boxers. This is the only help I received from anybody in the 2 yr. I've been doing this believe me there is no money being made I'm just trying to help the boys. please help me in any way you see fit you can even forward this email to any body that can help me.
